    In order to quantitatively recognize crack dep th and effectively imp rove the accuracy of ultrasonic tes-ting, the wavelet analysis and artificial neural network (ANN) are introduced to the intelligent recognition of crack dep th. The p roposed recognition method is then discussed in detail in terms of the basic p rincip le of ultrasonic tes-ting, the determination of defect dep th characteristics, the abstraction of dep th characteristics bywavelet, the struc-tural parameters of ANN as well as the training and testing networks. Moreover, the feasibility of the intelligent quantitative recognition of crack dep th by ANN is discussed, and an intelligent experimental system is finally set up, by which a flaw samp le is quantitatively recognized and analyzed. The results indicate that the introduction of the wavelet analysis and ANN p rovides a feasible app roach to the quantitative recognition of cracks in ultrasonic tes-ting feasible.

    This paper adop ts a typ icalmeshlessmethod, that is, the element2free Galerkin ( EFG) method, to solve the electromagnetic p roblems in frequence domain. The EFG discrete form for the multi2medium electro-magnetic wave equation in frequence domain is first deduced by purely using the weighted residual method. Then, aiming at a classic electromagnetic p roblem where the TE p lane wave is reflected by a metal-backed die-lectric slab, numerical computation is carried out. The results obtained by the EFGmethod are finally compared with those obtained by the finite elementmethod ( FEM) , concluding that the former is of greater accuracy.

    In order to study the flow resistance characteristics in the heat exchange tubes enhanced with longitudinal vortex generators(LVGs),the influences of various parameters,such as the Reynolds number inside the tubes,the installation position as well as the height of LVGs and the distance between LVGs.flow resistance were investigated by theoretical analysis and experimental studies.Fitting forlTlulas of the flow resistance were then deduced.Moreo-ver,a graphical comparison was carried out,thus obtaining the corresponding action rules and pressure drop cha-racteristics of the heat exchange.The results show that:(1)the flow resistance coefficient is linear with the dis-tance between LVGs under the same Reynolds number;(2)with the same distance between LVGs,the heat ex-change will be greatly enhanced by the height of LVGs in the case of larger Reynolds number;and(3)a distance between LVGs which is less than the affecting distance of LVGs is not desirable for the heat exchange enhancement.

    This paper expounds using the Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD)method to study the variations of perform an ce of cascade flow within the guiding device of francis turbine.Th e variations of the flow field,the pres-sure field,the energy field and the energy loss in multi-operating conditions are investigated.It is found that the computational result accords with the experimental results.This research shows that the variations of flow field with-in cascade directly affects the runner inflow conditions and the stability of turbine operation.Th e numerical analy-zing results lay a technical basis f0r the optimum design and the stable operation of turbines.

    In order to correctly evaluate the validity of the scheme of GTCC(Gas-Steam Combined Cycle)inlet air cooling,a method based on numerical integration is presented,which integrates the temperature characteristics of the GTCC inlet air,the of—design performance of the inlet air cooling system ,the loading rules of the machine and the local yearly standard weather data,etc.The economic evaluation to the scheme of GTCC inlet air cooling in a power plant located in South China is then carried out,with the results showing that,for every 1 ℃ inlet air temper-ature depression,the GTCC output power increases by 0.5% ,while the heat rate varies slightly.Furtherm ore,the results of the scheme of cooling the inlet air temperature from the ambient temperature(30℃)to 10 ℃show that,in the local weather conditions,an annual average temperature decrease of 16℃ of the inlet air can be obtained,as well as an annual output power increase of 8.27%and a fuel consumption rate increase of 1.03%.It is also shown that the payback period approximately amounts to 2.0 years when the peak power price is 1.00 Yuan/(kW ·h) and the fuel cost is 2200 Yuan/t.

    In order to verify the rationality of the controlling algorithms,the controlling strategies and the motor pa-rameters,a simulation model of the controlling system for the brushless DC motor controlled by a triangle-wave PW M is constructed based on the simulation platform of Matlab/simulink.The sub-modules of the controlling sys-tem are then introduced in detail. Moreover,according to the basic flux linkage equations of brushless DC motor,the operating mode of the three-phase square·wave motor with wye-connected phase windings and two mosfets is ana-lyzed.The simulated results indicate that the proposed model has a good response to the rotation speed and rotation torque,and possesses quick simulation pace.

    The cross-saturation characteristics of GaN quantum well lasers are theoretically calculated and analyzed based on the analyses of the energy band structure and the transition matrix elements of GaN.The curves of the cross-saturation coefficients for self-crossed or crossed TE and TM modes are then obtained.Th e effects of the ener.gY band structure and the carrier sheet density on the cross-saturation characteristics are finally analyzed.It is found that,when the two interactional optical fields are of the same~equency.the cross.saturation coemcient will achieve the peak value;on the contrary,when the two fields are of diferent frequencies,the cross.saturation coefficient is far less than the peak value.Moreover,when at its peak value,the cross.saturation coefficient is greatly afected by the carrier sheet density.Thus,one can change the cross-saturation coeficient by changing the carrier sheet density.

    Two faint floating precision all-wave rectifiers are realized by using a third-generation current conveyor with dual outputs(DOCC Ⅲ)and four rectification diodes.One of the rectifiers is suitable for faint floating voltage signals,an d the other for faint floating curent sign als.As there is no DOCCⅢchip on sale at present,four novel realization schemes of DOCC Ⅲ are then proposed SO that computer simulations an d experiments can be carried out,with the corresponding results confirming that the proposed circuits of DOCCⅢand the realized rectifiers are feasi-ble.

    A mistake in the proof of some technical problems in the literature as shown in the title of this paper is pointed out.By employing the continuous theorem of Mawhin’s coincidence degree theory and the Cauchv inequali-ty,sufficient conditions for the existence of the periodic solution to the model presented in the literatuIe are ob-tained.These sufi cient conditions are weaker than the ones in the existing literature.The unique and global attrac-tiveness of the periodic solution are then proved by employing Dini’s derivative. An example is finally presented to demonstrate the efectiveness of the proposed results.

    By analyzing the effect of phase noise on the OFDM system,it is found that phase noise results in not only common phase error(CPE)but also intercarrier interference(ICI)that degrade the performance of the OFDM system.The effect of phase noise on the orthogonal frequency division mutliplexing(OFDM)system is analyzed.Phase noise results in not only CPE but also ICI that degrade the perform ance of the OFDM system.Hence the corrections of CPE and ICI must be carried out.In this paper,a CPE corection method based on the MSE criterion is first given.As ICI mainly results from the adjacent channels,a method of adaptively eliminating the adjacent chan. nel interference is then put forward based on the LMS law.Th e proposed algorithm is simple and efficient,whose efect on the perform ance improvement of the OFDM system is finally verified by simulated results simulation resuhs

    When images are denoised by means of nonlinear filtering algorithms,the selections of the threshold pa-rameter and the filter function tend to have great effects on the quality of the denoised images.In order to overcome this difficulty,a family of piecewise n-degree filter functions of wavelet threshold parameter are constructed.which can be used to nonlinear filtering algorithms.It is then proved that the wavelet approximation is a near.minimizer of the functional which has to be minimized to solve the denoising problem,and that the near.minimizer can be used to substitute the soft threshold filter of Donoho. Moreover,the bigger the degree n is,the better the approximation
    quality is.It is finally proved that the limit of the n-degree filter is an ideal lowpass filter.

    A novel model,namely,kernel vector space model,is established by using the kernel function to im-prove the vector space.In this model,the Mercer kernel is used to map the data in the original space to a high-di-mensional feature space in which data can be identified as in the vector space.     The effects of the noise source and its direction of Chinese speech average frequency spectrum on the in-telligibility of Chinese speech were discussed in different room acoustical characteristics and signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)conditions.The test signals were mixed with the noise signals in accordance with a given SNR and the in.telligibility was then rated by listeners.Th e results show that,in noise condition,the room acoustical characteris.tics in listening positions,the SNR and the direction of noise source all have significant effects on the intelligibilityof Chinese speech,and the efect of SNR is the most significant.Th e results also show that the intelligibility increa.ses with the improvement of the room acoustical characteristics in listening positions,the increase in SNR ,and the increase in the separate angle between the signal an d the noise.

    A mode l is p resented to forecast the terminal bearing capacity in the sections of reinforced conc rete (RC) columns under bi-axial bending and compression. By taking the main factors affecting the bearing capacity, such as the section dimension, the concre te strength, the loading angle and the reinforce ratio, as the model parameters, and by using the numerical simulation results as the training specimens, a fo recasting model is established based on BP neural network. It is verified that the proposed model is of excellent fo recasting ability for the terminal bearing capac ity of RC columns under bi-axial bending and compression.

    To investigate the micro disperse state of SBS(Styrene-butadience-styrene block polymer)in modified asphalt,the fluorescent optical microscope was used to observe the micro disperse state of SBS-modified asphalt.It is found that,during the mixing of SBS and asphalt,the disperse state and the microstructure of SBS undergo a sedes of changes,and that the qualification of the modified asphalt varies accordingly,Moreover,with the different disperse states of SBS in the modified asphalt,different modifying effects will be obtained.According to the rela-tionship between the microstructure and the macro-performance,a simple and convenient method for the quality control of modified asphalt can be obtained.

    The effects of carboxymethycellulose (CMC),polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)and sodium polyacrylate(PNaAA)on the properties of the grouting material used in shield tunneling,such as the quantity of water seeping,the fluidity,the setting time and the rheology of cement paste,were investigated. In this investigation,a high-effi-ciency water reducer GCL1-3A was mixed into the grouting material.The results reveal that(1)CMC and PNaAA possess excellent water-property for the grouting material,while PVA does not display this property till six hours later;(2)with the usage of 3% (mass fraction)in the water reducer,CMC and PNaAA can enhance the flu-idity and stability of the grouting material;(3)CMC and PNaAA can accelerate the concreting of the grouting ma-terial while PVA is of the opposite efect;and(4)the original setting time of the grouting material with CMC or PNaAA being added is about 1 3 h,which is 1 h shorter than that of the grouting material without any polymer being added.

    The change of the chemical reaction property of ultrasound—treated cornstarch(UTCS)was investigated.By the reaction of UTCS with epoxy-propane,it is found that the degree of substitution(Ds)of UTCS increases from 0.1 13(the control sample)to more than 0.225,and that the Ds of UTCS increases a little with ultrasonic power.However,the increase in reaction time results in little improvement of the Ds.It is also found by polarized light micrograph that the crystal structure of UTCS granules shows no great change after the treatment by ultrasonic.Moreover,by using the scan electronic microcopy(SEM),many holes with diferent sizes are observed on the surface of UTCS granule,some of which take on the alveolate shape and distribute evenly in some starch articles.It is thus concluded that the ultrasonic contributes only in the amorphous region on the surface of the starch granule.

    In order to investigate the efect of hCbfal adenovirus vector on the artificial bone transplant. hCbfal cDNA gene was cloned to construct the recombinant adenovirus vector. In the construction. the target fragment of hCbhl cDNA was first inserted into cosmid PaxCAwt and then cotransferred into 293 cells with adenovirus gene DNA TPC(Terminal Protein Complex)by means of homologous recombination to construct the recombinant adeno-viru s vector.The positive clones of the recombinants were screened by enzyme digest identifi cation and were then treated by sequencing and purifying.A concentration of viral liquids of 2 x 109 PFU/mL was thus detected,which led to the successful construction of hCbhl recombinant adenovirus vector. The present study lays a foandation for the further apphcation of the vector to the transgenic therapy for artificial bone transplant
