Abstract:

In order to solve the problems existing in the current virtual assembly,a theory and a method of the process-oriented virtual assembly modeling are proposed. Moreover,on the basis of theoretical investigation and by using the CATIA system,a DMU (Digital Mock-Up)of megawatt pneumatic dynamotor is constructed, which is then put into virtual environment to detect the intervene space during the assembly,as well as program and optimize the assembly path. The resuh of successful assembly is insured, the development of Megawatt Pneumatic Dynamotor and the completion of scientific research projects have been greatly accelerated.
