Natural Boundary Conditions of4-point Theory for Surface Design

Abstract: A solution to the boundary conditions of4-point interpolatory subdivision scheme in the application to curve and surface modeling was studied.Combineing with4-point scheme‚the traditional nonlinear method for natural boundary conditions in geometric modeling is improved.Based on the fact that vertexes of an isosceles trapezoid are concyclic‚a linear method is brought forward for natura-l boundary-point by getting axisymmetric point.Hence the key problem concerning the application of 4-point theory to surface modeling is well resolved
