Abstract:

This paper focuses on the production of epothilone,a kind of secondary anti-cancer metabolite fermented by Sorangium cellulosum DSM 11999.The results show that, respectively with potato starch and peptone as the car bon source and the nitrogen source, and with the addition of MnCl4,EDTA-Fe-Na,K2HPO4 ,ZnCl2,CuSO4 and growth factor alanine, epothilone can be produced via the fermentation of Sorangium cellulosum DSM1 1999 in the late exponential phase at 25 oC .with a yield increased by 22.5% .
