Abstract:

Under conditions of simulated acid rain and lake water, the speciation transfer and variation of the heavy metals Cu.Pb and Zn in the atmospheric particulates(TSP)sampled in Baiyun District of Guangzhou were investi· gated bv means of continuous chemistry extraction. The results indicate that the total contents of Cu,Pb and Zn greatly decrease after dipping in the simulated acid rain, while the amounts of extractable fraction of Cu and Pb in‘ crease little.Zn mainly appears as residual fraction. It is also shown that, after the treatment by lake water, the to· tal contents of Cu and Pb generally have no change,Cu transfers from residual fraction to Fe-Mn oxide and organic fraction.Pb transfers from extractable fraction to other fractions, and Zn mainly transfers to lake water with an ex-tractable fraction.
