    Although the existing scheduling algorithm of intelligent network disk ( IND) storage system minimizes the weighted time cost of tasks,it may result in a starvation phenomenon because many tasks cannot be executed for a long time. In order to solve this problem,an controllable scheduling algorithm ( CSA) is proposed,which divides the tasks into several step chains,computes the ρ factor of tasks according to the execution time and weight of step chains,and selects the unexecuted step chain according to both the ρ factor and the execution time of the tasks of ρ factor. Experimental results indicate that,as compared with the existing IND algorithm,the proposed CAS is of similar total weighted time cost,lower average turnaround time cost of tasks and completion time cost of short tasks, and that it effectively eliminates the starvation with balanced efficiency and fairness.

    Proposed in this paper is an encapsulation-and-aggregation-based DiffServ multicast scheme named EADSMCast ( Encapsulated and Aggregated DiffServ Multicast) . Derived from the encapsulation-based DSMCast, EADSMCast encapsulates the forwarding information of all core routers of the aggregated tree into each multicast packet head,thus ensuring the statelessness and scalability of core routers in the service domain. Moreover,by improving the group-tree matching algorithm,several multicast groups with similar forwarding structure may share the same aggregated tree,thus reducing the size of multicast routing table maintained by edge routers. Simulated results indicate that EADSMCast is a scalable scheme for supporting heterogeneous QoS multicast.

    In order to simplify the complex structure of unstructured peer-to-peer ( P2P) networks such as Gnutella,a node cluster-based random walk search algorithm is proposed. In this algorithm,node clusters are used to store file indices,and the search process is constrained in node clusters to improve the search performance. Afterwards,the upper and lower bounds of search performance are formulated based on the theoretical analysis of the mathematical model. Experimental results indicate that the search performance of the proposed algorithm is closely related to the cluster threshold c,and that,at the suggested value of c,namely half of the maximum degree in the system,the success rate of searching rare files increases by at least 250% and the transfer and storage cost decreases by one order of magnitude,as compared with the common random walk algorithm. The proposed algorithm is of the advantages of low storage cost high search efficiency as well as ease realization and deployment.

    Most existing high-attribute dimensional sparse clustering algorithms can only process binary data and are insufficient in evaluating clustering results,which limits their applications. In order to solve this problem,a noval high-attribute dimensional sparse clustering algorithm based on knowledge granularity is proposed. In this algorithm,first,a semi-fuzzy clustering algorithm is persented to discretize sparse data,with which the sparse similarity and the initial equivalence relation are defined. Then,a precision-variable quadratic clustering model is established to refine the results and further to improve the noise resistance of the proposed algorithm. Finally,an applicationoriented evaluation model of clustering quantity is defined. Test results show that the proposed algorithm is suitable for various granularities and helps to obtain high-accuracy of results of reflecting data characteristics.

    Proposed in this paper is a shape description and skeleton-graph matching algorithm based on histogram, which takes into consideration the shape variability of objects and adopts the length of skeleton branch as well as the radii of the disks at skeleton points as the features to describe the object shape. In the investigation,first,a method to describe the shape and the skeleton end nodes is presented based on the 2D histogram. Then,an improved optimal subsequence algorithm is proposed for the skeleton-graph matching. The descriptions of shape and skeleton end nodes are invariant to common non-rigid transformation. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can implement the skeleton-graph matching of objects with non-rigid transformations and the high-precision shape retrieval with low computational complexity.

    Data matching is an important research direction in database field. In this paper,a data matching method working in the metrics space is proposed,which classifies and matches data based on the triangle inequality theorem,and improves the matching efficiency by introducing a multiple iterative mechanism. Afterwards,the complexity of the method is analyzed and the efficiency of the method is verified by experiments. The results indicate that the proposed method makes full use of data characteristics,thus effectively improving the accuracy,correctness and recall rate of data matching.

    Proposed in this paper is a mesh deformation method based on surface control,which takes into consideration the advantages of differential-domain mesh editing methods in terms of detail preserving and the arbitrary topology adaptability of subdivision surfaces. In this method,based on the discrete Poisson equation of manifold grids,a subdivision surface attached to a specified mesh deformation region is designed as the deformation-controlling surface. The deformation-controlling surface is mapped into the gradient field modification for the deformation region meshes. Finally,a mesh model with deformation is reconstructed based on the Poisson equation. The proposed deformation method overcomes the shortcoming of the traditional parametric spline surfaces in terms of attaching the objects with arbitrary topologies. Moreover,it can effectively preserve the geometric details of an object.

    Linear discriminant analysis ( LDA) can only make use of labeled samples. In order to overcome this shortcoming,a new semi-supervised discriminant analysis method based on local reconstruction and global preserving marked as LRGPSSDA is proposed. LRGPSSDA sets the edge weight of neighborhood graph by minimizing the local reconstruction error and preserves the global geometric structure of the sampled data set without destroying its local geometric structure. It is insensitive to the selection of neighborhood parameter,and the dimensionality of its projection subspace is independent of the number of sample classes. As compared with the existing semi-supervised discriminant analysis methods such as SDA and UDA,LRGPSSDA is of higher classification performance. The experimental results of YaleB and CMU PIE face database also demonstrate that LRGPSSDA is effective.

    In order to generate high-quality automatic text summarization,a formula based on the combined word recognition algorithm is presented to compute the weight of words in a text,with the word frequency,part of speech,word position and word length being considered. By using the proposed formula,a thematic word/phrase is assigned great weight,a sentence is weighted according to its content and position,the cue words in it and the user's preference,and the final summarization is generated by fully considering the similarity of candidate sentences,thus avoiding the information redundance. Moreover,the evaluation approach based on the accuracy and the recall of summerization is improved to increase the computing precision of summarization to the word level instead of the sentence level. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm generates high-quality summaries,with an average precision of 77. 1% .

    Accurate and effective fault diagnosis of high-voltage transmission line ( FDHVTL) is vital for the rapid restoration,as well as for maintaining the security and reliability of the power systems concerned. In this paper,the FDHVTL is formulated as an optimization problem with the fault location,fault type identification and fault time estimation involved. Then,by setting the variables to be solved ( such as the fault location) and the parameters to be determined ( such as the transition resistance) as the unknown parameters in a fault hypothesis,and the minimum discrepancy degree between the actual and the expected waveforms as the optimization objective. Then,a hybrid optimization model with discrete and continuous variables is established and solved with a heuristic optimization algorithm,i. e. ,the harmony search ( HS) algorithm. Some improvements of the HS algorithm are made next. Finally,it is demonstrated by sample results that the proposed method is correct and effective.

    Based on the developed iron loss algorithm of surface-mounted permanent magnet ( PM) motors such as Slemon,and so on,the expressions of the amplitude and its time rate change of flux density in the teeth and in the yoke are derived with the consideration of the beveling edges of PM. Then,a method to analytically calculate the average eddy-current loss density in the teeth and the yoke is presented,and an analytical model of the iron loss of PM motor with beveling edges is presented,finding that beveling edges help to effectively decrease the iron loss. A very good agreement between the experimental results and the calculated ones shows that the proposed method is correct and effective.

    Automatic voltage control ( AVC) system may cause misoperation due to its incorrect and inefficient identification for the remote measurement data of power plants. In order to solve this problem,this paper adopts the support vector machine ( SVM) ,a data mining method with excellent pattern recognition ability,to establish a bad data identification model. In this method,first,SVM nonlinear regression is used to perform a curve fitting for the remote measurement data. Then,the classification network is trained with SVM. Finally,the real-time data are input in the curve fitting network and the classification network to judge whether the data are correct. Simulated results show that the proposed model is effective and accurate.

    According to the characteristics of traffic jam at intersections and on the basis of qualitative reasoning,a time-related steady-state evaluation index ( SEI) is proposed to describe the traffic situations at the entrance of intersections on urban road. Simulated results indicate that,before the formation of traffic jam at intersections,the SEI of traffic flow abruptly changes and a transition from steady state to unsteady state and finally to steady-state may occur,and that the critical congestion point determined by the SEI basically accords with the formation and dissipation time of traffic jam reflected by the total queue length.

    In this paper,first,a Bayesian network for parking behavior analysis is constructed based on the structure and parameter learning by means of K2 algorithm and Bayesian evaluation. Then,with the help of junction-tree propagation algorithm,the variations of parking starting time,parking duration and parking lot type with the parking fee are analyzed. Finally,the effect of parking pricing policy is predicted and the feasibility of the policy is evaluated. The results indicate that high parking fee may shorten the parking duration,that a disequilibrium pricing policy,that is,high parking fee for peak-period parking and on-road parking,may result in non-peak and off-road parking.

    The traditional route choice models based on expected utility ( EU) are of many disadvantages,while the cumulative prospect theory ( CPT) that accords with traveler's bounded rationality can provide an accurate description of traveller's decision-making process in uncertain conditions. This paper establishes a CPT-based model for traveler's perceive ultility under the condition of random continuous path ultility distribution,and analyzes the properties of the model combined with related variables. Then,a case study is conducted to analyze the difference of traveller's route choice behaviors respectively based on the EU and the CPT,finding that the CPT is superior to the EU in terms of describing traveller's decision-making process. Finally,the reference point and the route utility distribution are analyzed,which provides a theoritical foundation for the investigation into intelligent traffic control system and its simulation modelling.

    In this paper,first,the sliding mesh technology and the computational fluid dynamics ( CFD) technology are both applied to solve the Navier-Stokes equations of a ducted propeller which governs the fluid motion around the duct. Then,the thrust characteristics of the ducted propeller in the flow field of an underwater robot in turning motion are simulated,and the hydrodynamic phenomenon of the propeller in such a condition is observed. The results indicate that,when the flow comes from the robot stern,the thrust coefficient of the stern propeller is lower while that of the side propeller is higher than that without robot,that the flow from the robot frontage may result in an opposite case,and that the robot has no obvious effect on the thrust coefficient when the direction of incoming flow is approximately perpendicular to the axis of the robot.

    Polythiophene was prepared via the electropolymerization of 2,2'∶ 5',2″-terthiophene ( 3T) ,and the electrochromic behaviors of polythiophene film were investigated,revealing a reversible color change from orange yellow to navy blue for the film with applied voltage in liquid electrolyte. Moreover,a solid-state electrochromic indium tin oxide ( ITO) /polythiophene/conducting gel/ITO device was fabricated,with polythiophene as the active electrochromic layer,and a similar color change was also observed for the device with applied voltage.

    As the capillary rheometer is not appropriate for measuring the rheological properties of the composites of plant fibers and polymers,a new measurement method using the torque rheometer was proposed and was then used to measure the rheological properties of polybuthylene succinate ( PBS) composites reinforced with sisal fibers ( SF) in different mass fractions. Then,the length-to-diameter ratio of sisal fibers in the composites was measured,and the effects of SF content and rotor speed on the length-to-diameter ratio of SF and the flexural strength of the composites were analyzed. The results show that the shear-thinning phenomenon of the composites becomes more significant with the increase in SF content due to the disentangling,breaking and orientation of SF.

    Octacalcium phosphate fibers were synthesized via homogeneous precipitation,and the product was characterized by means of FT-IR,XRD and SEM. Then,the effects of synthesis temperature and reactant concentration on the morphology and composition of the product were discussed,with a significant effect being observed. Experimental results show that high temperature helps to accelerate the precipitation of OCP and obtain fine product with high yield,that too low urea concentration may result in highly inhomogeneous size distribution of OCP,while too high urea concentration may result in large and short product mixture of OCP and hydroxyapatite,and that fine OCP fibers can be synthesized via the homogeneous precipitation at 90℃,with an initial pH value of about 2. 2 and an final pH value of about 5. 0,and with 0. 167 mol/L Ca( NO3) 2,0. 1 mol/L ( NH4) 2HPO4 and 0. 6 ~ 0. 7 mol/L ( NH2) 2CO as the reactants.

    In order to improve the ultrafiltration performance of polyvinylidene fluoride ( PVDF) membrane,hybrid PVDF/Al2O3 membranes with different Al2O3 contents were prepared via the in-situ polymerization of aluminium isopropoxide ( AIP) and PVDF in a sol-gel process. Then,the structure and properties of the prepared hybrid membranes were characterized by means of SEM,IR,ultrafiltration experiments,contact angle test and mechanical test. The results indicate that there exist alumina polymers in the prepared membranes due to the hydrolysis polymerization of AIP in PVDF,and that,at an AIP dosage of 12% ,the pure-water flux of the prepared hybrid membranes increases by 83. 36% ,the BSA ( Bovine Serum Albumin) retention rises from 88. 27% to 96. 64% ,and the hydrophilicity,mechanical properties and pollution resistance of the membranes are all significantly improved.

    Desulfurization slag and calcareous waste stone powder were used to prepare ceramics,and the product was then characterized by means of XRD and X-ray fluorescence analysis,et al. The results show that the release rate of SO2 is up to more than 77% when only desulphurization slag are added to the raw materials,that the release rate decreases to less than 30% when calcareous waste stone powder and desulphurization slag are both added to the raw material and when the surface is glazed at a sintering temperature decreasing from 1 100 ℃ to 1 050 ℃ and a soaking duration decreasing from 2 h to 1 h,that the calcium in the prepared ceramics mainly exists in the form of CaAl2Si2O8 and CaSO4,and that the product is qualified.

    The IFC ( Industry Foundation Classes) standard for engineering information exchange is insufficient for defining and expressing structural dynamic information. In order to solve this problem,first,the existing IFC-based structural information model is analyzed,and some missing details of the model that support the structural dynamic analysis are evaluated. Next,the information requirements of the structural finite element analysis software SATWE are analyzed in terms of geometry information,load information,material information and analysis result information. Then,the information requirements are compared with the entities corresponding to the IFC standard,with which some extension suggestions about IFC-based structural analysis model are proposed. Moreover,the dynamic load information such as the earthquake action is defined according to the IFC-formatted EXPRESS representation criterion,and the contents of the structural dynamic analysis information are described. Finally,the basic framework of the structural dynamic analysis information is constructed in EXPRESS-G graph,which extends the structural finite element analysis information and provides some references for the extension of IFC-based structural information model.

    In this paper,first,the axial bearing capacities of short concrete-filled steel tubular ( CFST) columns with thickness-variable steel plate and with two novel types of intersecting connections are analyzed,and the corresponding calculation formula is proposed. Then,the static loading tests of the two types of connections are simulated using the finite element method,and the variations of the bearing capacity with the intersecting angle as well as with the thickness of the elliptical plate,the lining plate,the reinforcing plate and the flange plate are analyzed, the results according well with the test ones. It is found that the elliptical plate,the lining plate and the reinforcing plate all enhance the confinement effect on the core concrete,that the bearing capacity of the connections increase with the intersecting angle as well as with the thickness of the elliptical plate and the lining plate,while it is insensitive to the thickness of the reinforcing plate and the flange plate,and that,the proposed formula is applicable due to its high accuracy of estimating the bearing capacity of connections.

    In order to reveal the modal behaviors of inflatable fabric beams ( IFB) ,first,the equilibrium shape of IFB is obtained via the form-finding of small Yung's Modulus method,with the loading characteristics of flexible membrane structures and the nonlinear geometric factors such as the large deformation and the initial prestress being considered. Thus,the configuration and initial equilibrium stress are sequentially inherited. Next,the modes of IFB are numerically calculated and analyzed by means of the block-Lanczos method,and the effects of pressure, fabric thickness and radius ( slenderness) on the modal behaviors of IFB are analyzed. Then,the wet mode of IFB is proposed and is computed respectivelg via the approximate density method and the fluid-structure interaction method with the consideration of the coupling between the external air fluid field and the flexible IFB. Finally,a comparison between the wet mode and the dry mode of IFB is made. The results validate the coupling effect between the external air fluid and the IFB.

    In order to reveal the cracking mechanism and the anti-crack performance of infill walls of aseismic structures,and provide information for the performance-based seismic design of infilled structures,the in-plan cracking of masonry infill walls is analyzed by means of finite element method. The results show that the cracking mechanism of the infill walls is very complicated,and that the cracking and anti-crack performance mainly depends on the storey drift angle of the frame and the strength of wall materials. The story drift angles of the masonry infill walls with different elastic moduli are obtained in different cracking widths. The result can be applied to the performance-based seismic design of infilled frame structures.

    In this paper,based on the shaking table tests for the dynamic interaction of squeezed disk pile-soilframe structure,the seismic performances of the squeezed disk pile and the straight pile systems are investigated with MARC software. The results show that squeezed disk piles bear alternating pull and compression loads due to the building swing in an earthquake,which produces pull"stress bubbles"in disk-upper soil that grow with the la teral displacement of the structure top. It is thus concluded that the uplift force is mainly transferred through the disks that effectively dissipate some seismic energies and reduce the swing of the upper structure. Moreover,it is demonstrated that the anti-pulling force of squeezed disk piles derives from the side friction resistance of the pile and the end resistance of the disks,and that,with the increase of dynamic load,the disk becomes the main way to load transfer.

    This paper deals with the overall planning and design of the new campus in Hengqin Island for University of Macau,which is based on the natural environmental resources with mountains and ocean and on the natural ecological conditions. In the planning and design,the architectural composition symbolized as the style of modern ecocity,which combines the architectural styles of southern Europe and South China,is adopted to build an international campus full of unique charm and style,and the college-style development pattern is used as the core mode of the tour,which not only echoes the modern concept of sustainable development planning of campus,but also shows respect to the traditional humanistic spirit of University of Macau. The building groups of the campus combines the characteristics of Lingnan architectures and southern European architectures,in which several space organization elements are involved and matched flexibly by modern designation,such as the corridor,the arcade architecture, the classical style,the garden environment and the gray space. Thus,an architecture group environment with the concept of planning is successfully created.
