Abstract: Antibiotic susceptibilities of four marine pathogenic Vibrios were investigated. The results demonstrate that Vibrio anguillarum was highly sensitive to chloramphenicol and genamicin‚but resistant to other stu-died antibiotics. Vibrio parahaemolyticus showed resistance to tetracycline‚kanamycin and penicillin‚but was sensitive to chloramphenicol‚cephalothin‚genamicin‚Erythromycin‚and streptomycin.Vibrio fluvialis showed resistance to tetracycline and streptomycin‚but was sensitive to chloramphenicol‚kanamycin‚cephalothin‚genamicin‚penicillin‚and Erythromycin.Vibrio alginolyticus showed resistance only to tetracycline‚but was sensitive to other7antibiotics tested in this study. The minimum-bacteriostat mass concentrations of several antibiotics to which these four Vibrios displayed resistances were determined.

Key words: marine pathogenic Vibrio, antibiotic, susceptibility, minimum-bacteriostat mass concentration
