Abstract:

In order to improve the lifetime of wireless sensor networks,a geographic opportunistic routing protocol with optimized lifetime marked as GOROL is proposed, and a residual energy and forwarding efficiency model is established according to the characteristics of GOROL.Then,an adaptive forwarder-set optimization algorithm is put forward based on the model, which takes into consideration both the residual energy and the forwarding efficiency to ensure the transmission efficiency and maximize the lifetime.Simulated results show that,as compared with the energy-aware routings such as CORP and GOR,GOROL is of longer lifetime in the network.
