Abstract:

The antioxidant substances in Aplinia Oxyphylla Miquel seed were extracted by supercritical carbon dioxide( SCCO2 ) , and the chemical compositions of the extracts were determined by means of GC-MS, with the scavenging rate for 1, 1-dipheny-l 2-picrylhydrazyl ( DPPH ) radical and the peroxide value for the assessment of antioxi dant act ions. The results indicate that nootkatone, yakuchinone A and yakuchinone B can be extracted at 40℃ and 15MPa, that the antioxidant activity of the extracts obtained in varied conditions on peanut oil are as follows: the extracts at 40℃ and 15MPa> butylated hydroxytoluene ( BHT) > the extracts at 35℃ and 25MPa> the extracts at 50 ℃ and 12MPa> the extracts at 35℃ and 25MPa ( adding ethanol), that the extracts obtained by SCCO2 extraction are of greater scavenging rate for DPPH than that obtained by hydrodistillation extraction, especially the extracts
at 40 ℃ and 15MPa, and that the scavenging rate decreases with the increase in extraction temperature.
