Submission Requirements

            In order to ensure the quality of this journal and its papers, facilitate the computerized automatic management, improve the efficiency in editing, peer review and entry procedures, and ensure openness and fairness in anonymous assessment, manuscripts submitted to JSCUT should meet the following requirements:

            (1) It is requested that manuscripts submitted to this journal have not been published previously and will not be simultaneously submitted or published elsewhere. The content of the manuscript should accord with the permanent columns.

            (2) Manuscripts are required to indicate the first author’s name and contact information (including E-mail, contact telephone and mailing address). If the research work has been supported by the Foundation of a project, please indicate the project name and the project number; if the manuscript has been presented at academic meetings, please indicate the conference name, venue and time.

            (3) Chinese authors may submit their manuscripts in Chinese and overseas authors may submit their contributions in English. The manuscript should contain no more than 8000 words or so (including charts). For details, please refer to the manuscript template on this website.

            (4) When the author is submitting the manuscript online, please upload one anonymous manuscript (without revealing the author’s name, work unit, biography, contact information, project name and number) and one signed manuscript.

            (5) Journal of South China University of Technology (Natural Science Edition) is included in such databases as China Academic Journal-CD, WANFANG DATA, etc. Submission of manuscripts to the journal implies all authors’ consent to the assignment of the material’s copyright to such databases. If the author does not consent, please state it explicitly when the manuscript is submitted.

            (6) The authors are encouraged to recommend 4-6 reviewers with professional title of associate professorship or above, who are qualified to serve as referees for peer review. Information should be provided with regard to the recommended reviewer’s full name, gender, title, research fields, work unit, mailing address, and E-mail address.

            (7) When the manuscript has passed the peer review, it will be returned to the author for revision. Then the author is required to submit a signed copy of the revised manuscript online.
