Abstract:

Percolation threshold is one of the important parameters describing the conductive properties of conductive polymer composites. However , the prediction of percolation threshold is indeterminate due to the complicacy of the inf1uence factors. In order to solve this problem , this paper analyzes the percolation behavior and the mechanisni of conductive polymer composites from the view point of microscopic structure , and proposes a new method to predicate the percolation threshold ψc based on the Flory gelation theory and the Bueche infinite network model. A comparison of the predicted results with the results in the literature reveals that the proposed method may lead to a predicated percolation threshold which is even closer to the result from the experiment with conductive high-density polyethylenel carbon black composites.
