Abstract:

3-aminocoumarin and its derivatives are of great research value. In this paper,first,3-amino-7-hydroxycoumarin ( 1) was synthesized via a Perkin reaction, with 2,4-dihydroxybenzaldehyde and N-acetylglycine as the materials. Then, two kinds of coumarin-Schiff base compounds ( 4a and 4b) were prepared via the condensation of compound 1 respectively with 7-diethylaminocoumarin-3-aldehyde and 2,4-dihydroxybenzaldehyde. Finally, the
structures,photo-physical properties and metal ion recognition performances of 4a and 4b were characterized by means of FT-IR,NMR,UV-Vis and fluorescence spectroscopy. The results indicate that both 4a and 4b show weak fluorescence emission, and that 4a can be used as a potential Ni2 + colorimetric chemosensor due to its high-efficiency selective recognition of Ni2 +.
