Abstract:

In order to reduce the feedback bits of MIMO-OFDM preprocessing systems,a new limited feedback preprocessing scheme, which includes downlink quantified power distribution coefficients and quantified diversity weight vectors,is proposed based on the spatial diversity of MIMO-OFDM systems. In this scheme, the power distribution of sub-carriers is uniformly quantified by the receiver with a low complexity and the preprocessing diversity vectors are quantified via joint interpolation optimization. Then, the limited bits of quantified power distribution and vector information are fed back to the transmitter, and the quantitative information obtained from the feedback is used by the transmitter to restore the preprocessed power allocation and vector through interpolation.Simulated results show that the proposed scheme considerably improves the BER(Bit Error Rate) performance of the system.
