Abstract:

According to the traffic flow characteristics, the short passageway distance and the serious interweaving of Beijing ring freeway, the node and road section models of the basic model METANET are both improved.Accordingly,a nonlinear optimal control model is established, and a solution to the coordinated control system of passageway is obtained with optimal discreteness.Afterwards,by taking Beijing ring freeway for example,a comparison is made between the simulated results based on the improved AMOC strategies and the actual trafic status. The results show that the improved AMOC strategies help to maintain the traffic density in a desired range with relatively short queue length.and reduce the total travelling time of all vehicles in the road network by 18.4%
