Abstract:

In this paper , singular heat flux elements are developed from a hybrid finite-element variational function for static heat conduction problems. With the developed element , the heat flux intensity factor can be effectively and correctly predicted. The assumed heat flux field in the formulation of singular heat flux elements are based on the eigenpairs computed via the one-dimension finite-element procedure presented before. A series of numerical ex-amples indicates that the proposed singular heat flux elements help to find solutions with a high accuracy through coarse meshes , and that the proposed method is effective and reliable.
