Abstract:

To solve the problem of big torque ripples in the direct torque control(DTC)of PMSM,a novel DTC method is proposed,in which the hysteresis controller is replaced by a fuzzy controller. Then,a fhzzy logic-based DTC system for PMSM is simulated using the FIS tool box of Matlab/Simulink.The results indicate that,in the proposed fuzzy logic-based DTC system, the errors on the torque and the stator flux linkage can be fuzzy classified and a suitable voltage vector can be obtained according to the torque location, thus reducing the torque and the flux linkage ripples. Moreover, the fuzzy logic-based DTC can effectively reduce the torque ripples caused by the hyster-esis loop.It is concluded that the proposed method is superior to the traditional controller in both speed and torque response.
