Abstract:
A 3D finite element model of an externally prestx‘essed concrete simple-supported composite box-girder bridge with corrugated steel webs is established by means of the composite element method.By the proposed model, the mechanical behaviors of the various sections in the structure with different exlemal tendon parameters, such as the tensile force, the positions of the anchorage point and the diversion point,a investigated.Calculated results show that the norma]stresses of the various sections in the middle range between two diversion points only deper;d on the tensile force.while those in the edge range between the anchorage point and the diversion point depend on all Darameters. The above-mentioned results provide a theore!ical basis f0r the arrangement of externally prestressed tendons of composite box-girder bridge.
