Abstract:

As the normal testing method can not correctly measure the complex rheologic characteristics of modified asphalt,a great number of force-ductility tests were performed to analyze the tension characteristics of the original asphalt binder,SBS-modified asphalt binder,APAO-modified asphalt binder and SBR-modified asphalt binder.It is proved that the force-ductility test is an effective method to evaluate the performance of modified asphalt binder.as well as a simple and expedient method to identify the type of asphalt binder.And it also helps a lot in selecting asphalt binder with excellent pertbrm ance.
