Processing of Cylindrical Three-dimension Fins and Formation of Burrs

Abstract: To improve the heat transfer efficiency‚the structure of the cylindrical three-dimension fin machined by mi -cro-ploughing/broaching was studied‚putting a special emphasis on the optimization design of the three-dimension geo-metrical structure parameters‚the formation process of the fin‚the axial tensile force and circumferential stress in the ma-chining process‚as well as the formation mechanism of flanging burrs in the application of micro-ploughing/broaching method.The effects of the rake angle γ 0 ‚the tool angle βand the broaching deepness α p on the burrs were also investi -gated by experiments.
