Abstract: Based on the analysis of the trouble with the domestic development process of the designed software for plastic injection molds‚the methods of injection mold design for assembly were studied.The assembly model based on the Gen-eral Circle Graph Tree was used to develop a standard injection mold base by combining the graph library with the database.Tools for building the base were also provided.By using the feature-based design method and defining the part -ing surface‚parts can be directly formed from plastic products.Moreover‚mold movement simulation was implemented by analyzing the characteristics of mold opening‚stripping and closing‚thus ensuring the reasonability of mold design.Fur-thermore‚a prototype system of injection mold CAD was developed by using the InteSolid as the developing platform‚and a design example was finally given.
