Abstract: Through the shear tests of damaged reinforced concrete (RC) beams with simple supports‚the shear-resistant performance of the declining cross section of RC beams reinforced by aramid fiber reinforced plastics (AFRP) was experimentally studied.The results show that the reinforcing technology with AFRP is helpful to the enhancement of the shear strength of the declining cross section of RC beams.
