Wheel-advanced Method for Curved Surface Uniform Mesh Generation

Abstract:  A new method for curved surface finite element mesh generation was put forward‚in which the surface boundary is discretized and the adjacent nodes are linked to construct a segment list.By the segments in the list and according to its space position‚a circle is constructed‚which is used to position nodes on the curved surface‚thus generating new mesh nodes and a new element.So the node‚element and segment are alternately generated.By this method‚the curved surface uniform meshes with high quality can automatically be generated.This method is suited to various curved surfaces.It is also com-mon to solving the key problem of automatic curved surface mesh generation in finite element modeling.
