Abstract:  The kinetic equation of urea consumption in absorption reaction was studied in the process of simulta-neous desulfurization and denitrification from flue gas by using urea/additive solution. The experimental results how that the relationship between urea concentration and time is linear‚and the reaction order is zero. The rate constant k of absorption reaction of urea solution without additive is0.8571mmol·L -1 min -1 ‚while k is res-pectively1. 945mmo1·L -1 ·min -1 and1.1521mmo1·L -1 ·min -1 with the additives of ethylenediamine and ammonium phosphate‚.The rate constant of absorption reaction in the simultaneous desulfurization and denitrification is greater than the sum of those obtained in separate desulfurization and denitrification‚which shows the synergism in the process of simultaneous desulfurization and denitrification.
