Abstract: Based on the appropriate material constitutive equation, failure criterion and model of cracking and crashing, a 3D nonlinear finite element method (FEM) computative model is presented to further analyze the crack form and mechanical properties of this new-type concrete filled steel tubular column-slab joint on axial compressive condition. Calculation results show that a good agreement between the experimental and analytical results can be obtained.
