Abstract:

The existing study of double space-time transmission diversity(DSTTD) system is mainly based on perfect channel estimation. However,in an actual channel estimation, error always exists. In order to reveal the influence of channel estimation error on the performance of DSTTD system,a method based on the existence of an assumed error matrix is proposed.Analytical results indicate that the interference matrix in decision statistics is the main factor influencing the system performance, and that independent and identically-distributed channels are more resistant to estimation bias than the correlated fading channels with the same estimation error.Simulated results show that the system performance affected by the error matrixes of different channel estimations in various scenarios is similar to that in actual situations. Thus,it is concluded that the proposed analysis method based on error matrix is valid and reasonable.
