Abstract: By means of Faraday spectroscopy‚the dependence of the Faraday spectral signal of gaseous NO2 on the applied magnetic field‚both alternating current (by Zeeman modulation) and direct current (by optical intensity modulation)‚was systemically studied. The Faraday spectral signal is linear to the applied magnetic field based on our experimental result and theoretical analysis. Thus‚a molecular magnetometer based on Faraday effect of gaseous NO2‚ which can measure a magnetic field of1×10-3~100mT and DC-1MHz with good linearity‚was presented.
