Modeling of Conductor Type Selection for Wind Power Branch Considering Operation Mode of Wind Power Farm

Abstract:

In this paper,first,a stochastic model of wind power farm is constructed,and the influence of the windpower farm on the voltage and power flow of the power distribution network is analyzed.Then,the wind powerbranch and its parallel by- pass are both defined and simulated,and the transmission power of lines affected by thewind power farm is analyzed.Moreover,a mathematical model for conductor type selection,which takes into ac-count the power transmission capacity of both large- scale power grids and wind power farms,is put forward.Withthe help of this model,general laws of conductor type selection for wind power farms with different wind power ca-pacities in different integration positions are revealed,thus successfully implementing the selection and assignmentof overhead lines under the influence of wind power.Analytical results of examples show that the proposed methodis effective.
