Abstract:

A stochastic singular-points-outside-domain (SPOD) method for analyzing beam structures is presented based on the fundamental solutions of certainty problems , the conventional SPOD technique and the multi-domain coupling technique. The proposed method is then applied to the stochastic static analysis of the Xijiang bridge under construction , and the sensitivity of the influences of different material and loading parameters on the deflection of the girder is investigated. Considering the variations of relevant parameters , a reliability analysis is further conduc-ted for the elevation control of the girder of the Xijiang bridge , with the failure probabilities for different construc-tion stages and tolerant errors being also discussed. The results of an application to the Xijiang Bridge show that the proposed stochastic SPOD method is effective and practical in the construction control of continuous rigid-connected bridges.
