CFD Simulation of Drag Torque of Wet Friction Element with Conical Configuration#br#

Abstract: In order to study the drag torque of wet friction element with conical configuration under the lubrication condition of full oil-film and evaluate the effects of geometric parameters, lubrication flow, oil film thickness, relative speed on drag torque, CFD models of two wet friction elements with different geometric parameters have been established. The influence of the lubrication flow, oil film thickness, and relative speed on the drag torque was obtained. The simulation model and the traditional model are analyzed to verify the availability of the simulation model.
