Constant Velocity Control of PMSM Based on Fractional-Order Controller

Abstract:

In order to implement the high-efficiency velocity control of AC permanent magnet synchronous motors,a fractional-order PI controller satisfying the system stability and robustness is proposed. Then,for the purpose of evaluating the performance of the controller,a comparison between the designed controller and the conventional optimal integer-order PI controller is made via simulations and prototype experiments. The results show that the designed fractional-order PI controller outperforms the optimal integer-order one in terms of the load disturbance resistance and the robustness to open-loop gain variation.
