Service-Oriented Collaborative Design Platform for Cloud Manufacturing

Abstract:

In order to support complex and large-scale collaborative design and implement high-level sharing of manufacturing resources and capability,the concept of cloud manufacturing,as well as the characteristics of the collaborative design platform based on cloud manufacturing,is discussed. Based on the service-oriented architecture and Web services technologies,the framework of a service-oriented,loose and open collaborative design platform
for cloud manufacturing is constructed and is then described and analyzed by using five-dimension views. Moreover,such key technologies as the service-oriented architecture,the resource management,the intelligent matching and combination of resource services,the virtualization,the dynamic monitoring and the conflict resolution are analyzed. Both the running mode of the platform and the collaborative design process in virtual collaborative design environment show that the proposed platform is applicable.
