Abstract:

The positioning methods based on widely-used CDMA and GSM networks are analyzed , and a vehicle-positioning algorithm combining CDMA and GSM networks is presented , which recalculating vehicles' localization using the measured positioning information from CDMA and GSM networks. The proposed algorithm can make use of the services provided by common network operators. It is simple , accurate and reliable with low time cost , and is adaptive to the update of positioning method. Tested results indicate that the proposed algorithm is feasible and helps to improve the positioning accuracy and the reliability.
