Abstract:
The cOITosion resistance of Guangzhou Metro engineering concrete to groundwater was investigated bysimulated and accelerated corrosion tests. In the investigation , the specific specimen similar to the one in actual use was cured in the simulated groundwater solution with chlorine and sulfate ions at 20 ℃. The results show that (1) the ratio of the cured specimen to the standard specimen in compressive strength continuously decreases with the in-crease in curing time; (2) the Cl - content of the cured specimen is close to the criterion limit after 40 days; and (3) temperature rising and alternative wetting/ drying may affect the compressive strength and corrosion resistance of concrete in varying degrees.
