Abstract:

In this paper , cement kiln dust (CKD) , fly ash and slag were mixed with Portland cement to compose a complex system. The hydration characteristics of the system were then investigated using a non-contacting resistivi-ty meter and by means of hydration heat test and SEM. Moreover , the folding resistance and compressive resistance of the mortar were measured. The results show that the water-soluble alkali and sulfate compounds in CKD provide an alkali environment for the activation of the latent activity of fly ash and slag , and help to improve the early-stage strength of the blending system with large doping amount.
