Abstract:

This paper focuses on the engineering applications of TNO(The Netherlands Organization)Multi-Energy method, analyzes the existing problems and provides corresponding solutions to improve the applicability of the method,in addition to the rules to select the strength grade of explosion source. In order to avoid the error due to the manual reading from blast wave curves, the characteristic curves of TNO blast wave are replaced by their fitting expressions, and some of the expressions resulting in big eror are modified. Moreover, according to the overpres-sure causing injury to the lung and the eardrum,as well as the fitting expressions of the characteristic curves, the expressions describing diferent injury distances are deduced by ineans of the iteration method and the least square method and are further verified. It is shown that the proposed expressions are feasible in engineering because their formats are simple and few inputs are needed.
