Design of PFC Inductor in Variable·Frequency Air-Conditioner

Abstract:

The application of the power factor correction(PFC)circuit to the variable-frequency air-c0nditi0ner is introduced,together with discussing the advantages and the principles of a PFC module with 3.3 kW input power.Moreover,the design of an amorphous magnetic PFC inductor is analyzed in detail.including the calculati0n of the critical inductance,the selection of the magnetic material and the specification determinati0n of the magnetic core.Experimental results show that the designed inductor composed of Fe based amorl)hous magnetic material can meet the requirements of variable-frequency air-conditioner due to its high saturated magnet density and the good heat stability of the material.
