Abstract:

The effective thermal conductivity(κeff)of hollow microsphere-filled polypropylene(PP)composite was
measured by using a thermal conductivity instrument, and the equation of efective thermal conductivity published
in the previous paper was preliminarily verified. The results show that the estimated values of κeffare in good agree—
ment with the measured ones except few points, and that κeff decreases roughly linearly with the volume fraction(φf)
of hollow microsphere when φf≤20%,while decreases slightly with the increase in particle diameter at lower φf
