Abstract:

Sodium diethyldithiocarbamate(NaDDTC)was used as the complexing agent for the removal of heavymetals in Pogostemon cablin Benth,a Chinese herbal medicine,by supercritical carbon dioxide complexing extrac-tion.The extraction conditions including the pressure, the temperature and the amount of NaDDTC were then opti-mized by orthogonal experiments. The experimental results show that,in the best extraction conditions, that is,70℃of extraction temperature,25 MPa of extraction pressure and 15.79% (mass fraction)of the complexing a-gent,the extraction rates of Cu,Pb and Zn are respectively up to 55.2% ,59.2% and 53.3%.The proposed method can thus be used as a new approach to the removal of the heavy metals in Chinese herbal medicines.
