Abstract:

In order to determine the important parameters of DSRC(Dedicated Short-Range Communication)proto-col,the communication process is divided into two phases, namely, the reservation phase and the data transmission phase. The mathematical model of the protocol is then established stage by stage based on the queuing theory .The time delay and the throughput in the reservation phase are then analyzed and discussed. Moreover, the calculation method and corresponding results of the main parameters and the performance targets in the data transmission Dhase are presented. This calculation is caried out on condition that the data transmission time foilows fixed-length distri. bution and negative index distribution. Solutions are also given to those cases where the application c0ndition d0es not meet the assumptions.
