SMM Analysis of the Propagation Characteristics of One-dimension Inhomogeneous Anisotropic Media

Abstract: A novel numerical technique for analyzing the propagation characteristics of one-dimension inhomogeneous anisotropic media was presented in this paper.In this technique‚the anisotropic medium is equivalent to the isotropic medium for circular polarized eigenwaves‚thus extending the scattering matrix method for one-dimension nonuniform isotropic media to the analysis of anisotropic media.The computer simulation results indicate that there is an excellent agreement between the results obtained by the new proposed method and by the approximate formulation.
