Abstract

Abstract: To improve the mechanical propertyflexibility and water-proof ability of zein film as a kind of biodegradable materialthe effects of different plasticizerssuch as oleic acidstearic acid and polyethylene glycol400on the performance of zein film were investigated．The results of the texture analysissurface-structure observation and thermodynamic analysis of all kinds of modified plasticization zein films indicate thatadding3％（volume fraction） of oleic acidthe tensile strength as well as the elongation rate of zein film is respectively raised by30％ and by20timeswater absorption is reduced by 2timesflexibility is greatly improvedand that the surface structure of the film is even glossier．
