Abstract: The DNA vaccine mediated by gene gun was used to vaccinate the abdomen of mice‚and im-muno-histological examination was applied to the expression of gD antigen at inoculation sites．The in-duced IgG antibody was assayed with ELISA and the protective effect of DNA vaccine on animals was investigated．The results show that‚by the mediation of gene gun‚DNA vaccine plasmid can be successfully delivered to the cutis of mice‚that the antigen protection gene gD2glycoprotein can effectively ex-press in the cutis and muscle of mice‚and that high titer neutralizing antibody were induced in immu-nized mice‚which will protect the mice against HSV 2virus．
