Circuit of High Frequency Charge Pump Power-factor- correction Technique with Soft-switching

Abstract: The charge pump concept for achieving power-factor-correction (PFC) and its unity power factor condition are analyzed. A kind of high frequency charge pump PFC circuit is proposed in this paper. The principle of the circuit and soft-switching are discussed. The simulation and experimental results show that unity power factor and low total harmonic distortion (THD) can be achieved for the use of the circuit in electronic ballast, which proves that the performance of high frequency charge pump power factor correction is optimal.
