Abstract: In this paper the static characteristics of a novel soft -switching submerged arc welding inverter is designed‚and the basic rules are researched between static characteristics of soft -switching submerged arc welding inverter and its structures as well as parameters by applying the theory of power electronics and autocontrol．Finally‚experimental verification of the results is given．
