Abstract:

Proposed in this paper is a refined analysis method of human-induced vibration under walking-crowd excitation, which is based on the researches on biomechanics and transportation. In this method, first, the walking speed-frequency relation is derived by fitting the experimental data in biomechanics. Then, the relationship between the speed and the density of crowd flow is investigated according to the corresponding transportation model. Moreover,a refined random crowd load model is established based on the speed-density relationship and the single-human load model in structure field, according to which a dynamic balance equation is deduced and solved using a self-compiled program, with the human-induced vibration response of the structure being obtained. Finally, the comfort of the structure under walking-crowd excitation is evaluated according to the ISO2631 standard, and the results are compared with those obtained by the BS5400 model. It is demonstrated that,as the proposed load model fully considers the crowd load,it avoids the blindness in parameters selection during the human-induced vibration analysis..
