华南地区 TEC 耗尽及增强与电离层闪烁的相关性

摘要: 利用 “子午工程” 布设在赤道异常区深圳站的监测仪获得的 2011 年 1 月至 2012年 12 月间的电离层闪烁和总电子含量(TEC)观测数据,分析了华南地区夜间 TEC 耗尽事件与电离层闪烁之间的关系.结果表明:华南地区晚间多次观测到 TEC 耗尽和电离层闪烁同时发生的现象,强闪烁(振幅闪烁指数 S4 >0.6)和 TEC 耗尽同时发生的比例高于弱闪烁(0.2 <S4 ≤0.6)和 TEC 耗尽同时发生的比例;TEC 耗尽和电离层闪烁同时发生时,TEC 耗尽持续时间和电离层闪烁持续时间呈显著正相关,相关系数达 0.97,且 ROTI指数和 S4 也呈正相关,相关系数达 0.68;TEC 耗尽最大值与电离层闪烁持续时间和 S4 最大值的乘积呈线性关系;华南地区夜间也观测到了 TEC 增强现象,但 TEC 增强与电离层闪烁之间无明显相关性.

Abstract:

According to the data of ionospheric scintillation and total electron content (TEC) observed from January,2011 to December,2012 by a monitor set at Shenzhen Station as a part of Meridian Space Weather Monitoring Pro-ject in equatorial anomaly regions in South China,the relationship between the TEC depletion and the ionosphericscintillation at the nighttime in South China was analyzed.The results show that (1) there occurs frequent TEC de-pletion simultaneously with the scintillation; (2) the simultaneous occurrence of strong scintillation (S4 >0.6) andTEC depletion is more frequent than that of weak scintillation (0.2 < S4 ≤0.6) and TEC depletion; (3) when thesimultaneous occurrence appears,a positive duration correlation with a coefficient of 0.97 apparently exists betweenthe TEC depletion and the ionospheric scintillation, and a positive correlation with a coefficient of 0.68 between the ROTI index and the S 4 index also exists; (4) the maximum TEC depletion value is linear to the product of the scin-tillation duration and the maximum S 4 value; and (5) although TEC enhancements are observed at the nighttime inSouth China,they have no significant correlation with the ionospheric scintillation.
