Abstract

This paper deals with the extractives of high-yield Neosinocalamus sulfonated chemimechanical pulp(SCMP) and their effects on the hydrogen peroxide bleaching. The results show that the extractives from Neosinocalamus SCMP in benzene-alcohol,dichloromethane and methanol are all in low content, that the extractives mainly contain fatty acids and steroids,as well as some substances producing UV absorption at about 330nm,that the brightness of peroxide-bleached pulp after the extraction increases by more than 6%,and by 9%ISO especially after the benzene-alcohol extraction, and that the yellowish phenomenon of the bleached pulp lightens to a degree of 37.3% at most and the heat-induced yellowing value decreases by 65.8% at most.
