Abstract

In order to find a solution to the temperature rise of the main structures of micro space motors caused by lubrication, the temperature distributions of motor components in the status of rotating and stopping are computed based on the theory of SKF bearing friction moment, with the help of MSC.MARC.It is found that,in the rotating status,as the temperature of the inner rings is always higher than that of the covers, the lubricating oil may diffuse towards the covers, which results in the lubricity degradation of bearings and further results in the speed instability;and that a 8-W temperature compensation for the framework face may effectively cause the temperature of the inner rings to be lower than that of the covers.Simulated and experimental results show that, with temperature compensation, the motor rotates more stably and satisfies the speed stability requirements well.
