Through single factor test method, the surface topography,micro-hardness distribution and residual stress of titanium TC4 after a low-plasticity burnishing are obtained by using an optical profiler,a micro-hardness tester and a residual stress test instrument, and the surface integrity of the burnished titanium TC4 is evaluated by using the standard data of the topography,roughness,micro-hardness and residual stress of surface. Then, the effects of low-plasticity burnishing parameters ( including burnishing speed, feed speed, hydraulic oil pressure and burnishing passes) on the surface integrity are analyzed comparatively. The results show that ( 1) the hydraulic oil pressure has the most significant effect on the topography,roughness,micro-hardness and residual stress of the burnished surface; ( 2) the surface roughness increases with the burnishing speed, and both the micro-hardness and the residual stress increase with the burnishing passes; and ( 3) higher hydraulic oil pressure and more burnishing passes help achieve a higher surface integrity in the low-plasticity burnishing of titanium TC4.
