Abstract

The structure of PV panels arranged with gaps is appropriate for the top daylighting of buildings thanks to its performances of shading, daylighting and power generation. In this paper,by taking into consideration the cli- mate condition in Guangzhou area,4 types of PV structures with various parameters were investigated in a compara- tive way,and an optimized layout scheme of PV panels was selected by comprehensively considering both dayligh- ting performance and power generation capability, namely, constructing a tilt angle of 60° between the PV panel and the horizontal plane to ensure good daylighting performance and provide strong power generation capability,Moreover, the optimized scheme was analyzed in terms of daylighting performance and power generation capability through a building design case. The results show that the presented PV structure possesses good shading perfor- mance, and that it helps achieve an average daylighting factor of 4.9% on the ground being 10m lower the PV structure and an annual power generation capability of 61.8kW·h/m 2 .
